Congratulations are in order for restaurateur Pinky Cole Hayes and her husband, Derrick Hayes. The couple have now become a family of five as they welcomed baby boy, David Asher Hayes.
The Slutty Vegan, a plant-based burger restaurant chain in Atlanta, owner posted on Instagram a carousel of images from an exclusive interview with People Magazine of their new addition to the family.
Cole Hayes began her post, “Ladies and gentlemen, David Asher Hayes.”
She continued, “David after @officialdhayes father (Big Dave) Asher after my father. His nickname is Dash. I used two woman and black owned brands @messinabottle @aarinandco for my baby’s outfit and hat! Make sure you support! @dreanicolephotography is the best photographer EVER! Thank you @people magazine for the exclusive.”
Cole Hayes and her husband, as she said in the above Instagram post, share three children under three-years-old. Cole Hayes is also mother to two-year-old daughter D Ella and 17-month-old son Derrick Hayes Jr. Hayes has two additional daughters from previous relationships.
“For the last two weeks, every time I looked at my phone, I kept seeing triple digits,” Cole Hayes told the outlet in her interview. “And then Dash was born, so it was divine. I can’t believe that I am a mom of 3 under 3 all while being a wife and entrepreneur. It’s not easy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My children make me better and [I] want to work hard to provide them the life I never had.”
Cole Hayes’ husband, Derrick added to the interview saying, “I used to think I couldn’t make anything but girls, but now I have two sons that I will raise to be kings.”
He concluded, “Having sons made me want to go harder in life to teach them how to be REAL men. When I looked into my new son David’s eyes, I promised him that I will be the best father I can be for him and his siblings. I am confident my sons will be the best version of me.”
