Ne-Yo and Monyetta Shaw-Carter threw a joint birthday party for their son Mason and daughter Madilyn over the weekend. The proud parents went all out to make sure their preteen and teenager had a blast at their anime-themed bash.
In a now-deleted post on Instagram, Monyetta wrote, “We celebrated Madilyn’s 13th (11/12) & Mason’s 12th (10/9) Birthday with their friends & family on yesterday. The crew had so much fun!!! The One Piece theme was cute!! It’s their favorite anime!!”
She continued, “We love these kiddos so very much! Gosh where’s the time going? A preteen and teenager! Wishing y’all the very best always! More life! More blessings! Endless love etc.”
Last month, Monyetta shared a special birthday message for her son, who turned twelve on 10/9.
“We had such a great chill day today with the birthday boy. Brunch by @everythingdaryll & @lynettejuneau then family game day fun followed by one of his fav places…..then a yummy Bday dinner. We love you so much Maso!” she wrote.
Monyetta hinted at more fun to come, saying,”Counting down to the joint Bday cruise time (Maso, Gigi, & Madi’s bdays are 2 weeks apart) then the M’s joint Bday party (like we used to do) with the rest of our family & the kiddos friends. YEP this is the beginning of our super busy family celebrations!! From now til the New Year! So grateful for it all!!”
In addition to Mason and Madilyn, Monyetta is a loving stepmom to her husband Heath Carter’s two kids, Gigi and Brianna. Ne-Yo, on the other hand, is a proud father of seven, with children Madilyn and Mason Grace with ex-fiancée Monyetta Shaw; Shaffer, Roman, and Isabella with ex-wife Crystal Renay; and sons Braiden and Brixton with ex-girlfriend Sadé Jenea.
