Ne-Yo and Monyetta Shaw-Carter are promoting the Cartoon Network’s Craig of the Week Varsity Jacket Giveaway. The celebrity parents and their kids, Mason and Madilyn, recently recorded an ad for the network.
All members of the family unboxed their varsity jackets. Mason showed off his jacket the most as he stood and gave fans a full look at the apparel. “Thank you @cartoonnetworkofficial for sending us these AMAZING Craig of the Creek jackets created by @fixmysole,” Monyetta Shaw-Carter shared on Instagram.
“Super cool,” said one fan after watching the advertisement. “I want one now,” the supporter said. “Mason is so cool,” another fan shared. “I love that kid’s energy.”
Many celebrate Monyetta Shaw-Carter and Ne-Yo for their ability to co-parent after a very public breakup several years ago. Monyetta wed Heath Carter last year. She discussed her blended family during an interview earlier this year.
“Heath and the kids hit it off after the introduction,” Monyetta told the press. “He gets along with their dad, and it definitely helps,” the celebrity mom shared.
Heath also has children from a previous relationship, which initially brought caution to the relationship. “I was a little nervous,” Monyetta said of stepping into her role as a stepmom.
“Being on this side of the fence is a little different because I’m now dealing with someone else’s kids in a scenario in which I’m familiar, but excited at the same time about bringing her into the fold,” the author explained. “I’ve been in the shoes of the biological mom, so I know what it feels like to have my children become a part of a blended family.”
Monyetta and Heath Carter celebrate one year of marriage this month. Madilyn also celebrates her birthday this month. Ne-Yo fathers five kids – Madilyn, Mason, Shaffer Jr., Roman, and Isabella – in all.
