Halloween night is unquestionably a time for ghouls, goblins, and all of the candy that one can eat. But, for Jeannie Mai Jenkins, it is also a time for celebration of what is important to her. This Halloween, Monaco’s mom is celebrating the “most important thing in the world.”
So just what is the “most important thing in the world” to Jenkins?
Well, the answer is “family.” Recently, the 44-year-old captioned an Instagram reel of her daughter enjoying her first of two costumes this spooky holiday season saying that, “The most important thing in my world is family 🤍.”
And for Jenkins, that family without a doubt, has her 22-month-old daughter, Monaco, leading the pack.
Last month, if you remember, the news of Jenkins’ divorce from rapper Jeezy, made headlines. And, since then, Jenkins appeared on a recent episode of Sherri, telling Sherri Shepherd that her daughter has been the source of her strength during this time.
“Monaco? That is my North Star. And I can definitely tell you that, I don’t know if I would handle this the same way without her,” Jenkins told the new talk show host.
She continued, “Because today, I’m able to look at her and I can say what would I advise you? If you were in my shoes? And it changes everything. So I’m so thankful to be a mom and I’m thankful to have her.”
Shepherd commiserated with Jenkins, sharing that she felt the same when about her son Jeffery when she went through her own divorce.
“You go through stuff like this, and you look at your child and you go, ‘Thank you for this gift because I needed this gift right now.’ ”
Jeannie Mai and rapper Jeezy, (Jay Wayne Jenkins), tied the knot in March of 2021. In January of 2022, the couple welcomed Monaco Mai Jenkins to the world. In addition to Monaco, Jeezy has three other children from previous relationships.
