Congratulations are in order for both Bronny James and Shedeur Sanders. The two talented athletes are leading the college NIL Valuation Rankings.
According to On3, Bronny James, eldest son of NBA legend, Lebron James, leads the top athletes with a NIL valuation of $6.1 million in deals. The 18-year-old University of Southern California freshman signed deals with Nike and Beats by Dre.
Even though James has yet to play his first game with the USC Trojans, Nike recently released his first official USC gear. As expected, his shirt immediately sold out.
Shedeur Sanders is weighing in at number two with NIL valuation deals. The quarterback for the Colorado Buffaloes at the University of Colorado Boulder, according to On3, is earning $4.1 million in NIL valuation deals. Sanders jumped from $2.5 million after his team win at the beginning of the season against Texas Christian University.
Sanders started out his career at Jackson State University before joining his father, famed former Dallas Cowboy Deion Sanders, at the University of Colorado. According to Afrotech, the talented 21-year-old athlete was the first athlete from an HBCU to sign a multi-year deal with Gatorade.
“I remember getting my first pair of Beats, so this feels full circle,” Shedeur said in an official statement shared with Afrotech at the time. “I’m excited to be part of a brand that inspires and represents the culture in a positive way, and that’s exactly what I want to do with my career.”
Sanders signed his deal with Beats by Dre when he was 19-years-old, making history by becoming their youngest ambassador.
Most recently, Sanders became an ambassador for Tom Brady’s BRADY Brand.
Brady commented on his official X account, (formerly Twitter), saying that “Shedeur Sanders embodies everything we look for in a BRADY™ athlete. His character and values align perfectly with our brand. Not only is he an exceptional football player and quarterback but he is one of the most influential players of his generation.”
The NIL top 5 rankings also include: LSU gymnastics’ Livvy Dunne with a valuation of $3.2M, Texas Longhorns’ Arch Manning with a valuation of $2.9M and USC Trojans’ football player Caleb Williams at $2.6M.
Congratulations to Bronny and Shedeur! This is just the beginning of their amazing journey to come.
