Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert are celebrating their daughter Rue Rose‘s third birthday today. Over the weekend, the pair outdid themselves by throwing an annual Coachella-themed party, aptly named “Ruechella, for their little one.”
Hosted by Teyana and Iman, the event featured all the elements of the famous Coachella festival: colorful and bohemian-inspired looks, kid-friendly activities galore, and, of course, a delicious spread of festival food and drinks.
“Love Planted a rose and the world turned sweet,” Teyana wrote on Instagram alongside pictures and video clips from the party. “Thank you for YOU. Happy birthday to my love, my heartbeat, my world, my stylist, Mommas very smart, very funny, VERY VIRGO big girlllllll I love you boo.”
Teyana also took a moment to extend her gratitude to the event organizers, saying,”Thank you to @eventfull_moments for putting together RU3 3rd annual #RU3chella it was soooo dope!!!! Y’all really did y’all big one ! Thank you for making her special day as amazing as she is”
Former Cleveland Cavaliers player Iman Shumpert also joined in the celebrations. He shared his sentiments on social media, exclaiming, “Another year around the sun for Rue Rose!!! The grownest 3 yo I eva saw! Love you to pieces!!”
Rue is the youngest of Teyana and Iman’s two daughters. The couple welcomed their firstborn, Iman ‘Junie’ Shumpert, in December 2015. Rue made her entrance into the world on September 6, 2020, following in the footsteps of her big sister by arriving ahead of schedule, right in the family’s bathroom. This remarkable event unfolded just one day after Taylor’s baby shower.
Iman, ever the proud dad, took to Instagram to share the news of Rue’s arrival, expressing his joy by writing, “A healthy child. A little sister. Another daughter. Black love wins…again. Welcome, baby girl…we love you!”
