Married to Medicine reality star Quad Webb is grieving the loss of her three-year-old great niece. The toddler, Aryanna, drowned in Webb’s pool earlier this month.
According to reports, Aryanna, who is the daughter of Webb’s niece Tamica Webb, tragically drowned in her aunt’s pool at her residence in Marietta. Responders were called to the home as a result of “reports of a drowning child”.
“The child was transported to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta — Scottish Rite Hospital where she was later pronounced deceased,” Cobb County police said in a statement to the press.
Per a police report obtained by WSB-TV Channel 2 Atlanta, officers were told that Aryanna, affectionately known as “Ari,” was visiting her great aunt on a month-long vacation. The report indicated that she had been under supervision and playing for two hours, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., before the unfortunate drowning occurred.
The same report mentioned that two men who were present at the home called 911 upon discovering Aryanna in the water. Initially, they mistook her for a doll but quickly realized the severity of the situation and promptly pulled her out.
On April 8th, Webb excitedly posted about her great niece’s 3rd birthday. The author and women’s health advocate said:
“Wow, I can’t believe my baby is 3 years old today! I remember you falling to sleep laying on my chest. You absolutely stole my heart from the moment I saw you; Ari you’re so special to me and I’m grateful to be apart of your life! I got you forever!!! Happy birthday chocolate drop.”
Three years ago, Webb told BravoTV.com‘s The Daily Dish that she was part of the “village” helping to raise Ari.
“My mom and I are in a supportive role for Ari, and while everyone is elated about the new addition to our family, she has a mother,” Quad said in her interview with the outlet. “We are the village here to support baby Ari.”
We extend our deepest condolences to Webb and her family upon the loss of Aryanna.
