Today show’s beloved weather anchor, Al Roker, is now a grandfather!
Al’s daughter, Courtney Roker, and her husband ,Wesley Laga, recently welcomed their first child together.
The couple’s baby girl, named Sky Clara Laga, was born on Monday, July 3.
On Wednesday, Roker shared photos of his newborn granddaughter on Instagram and introduced her to his followers.
“And then this little girl came into my life. Welcome to the world, Sky Clara Laga. In love all over again,” he shared.
“Thank you, Courtney and Wes for such a perfect blessing. Your baby is beautiful. Already planning the ways to spoil her and then hand her back,” he added.
Prior to the birth of their daughter, Courtney and Wesley celebrated their growing family with a baby shower that coincided with their second wedding anniversary.
Al Roker took to Instagram to express his heartfelt wishes for them, posting a photo of the couple from the event. He wrote, “2 years ago today, these two tied the knot. Today we celebrated their about to be here baby girl. So excited.”
Courtney echoed her father’s sentiments, expressing her gratitude for the overwhelming love she experienced during the baby shower.
She wrote,”Had the most amazing baby shower today, surrounded by so much love.”
In March, the ecstatic mother-to-be couldn’t contain her excitement and shared the wonderful news of her pregnancy in an Instagram Reel.
“A new adventure is about to begin,” Courtney captioned the clip.
In the comments section, Roker wrote, “Here we go!!! So very very happy!!!!! You guys.”
Courtney is Al Roker’s daughter with ex-wife Alice Bell. In addition to Courtney, Al is also dad to son Nick Roker, 20, and daughter Leila Roker, 24, whom he shares with wife Deborah Roberts.
