Gabrielle Union, Dwyane Wade and their daughters Kaavia and Zaya Wade enjoyed the fourth of July holiday by the lake.
Kaavia and her family were joined by Adrienne and Chris Bosh who also brought their kids along for the 4th of July weekend outing. “Took a trip and took them with me,” Kaavia shared on her Instagram page. “Waded for moments like this,” Gabrielle and Dwyane told their social media followers.
“The hair is popping,” one fan wrote in reference to Kaav’s curls. “Our virtual niece is a natural born beauty,” another social media follower declared. “Her and her crew,” the supporter added. “Just growing up so dang fast.”
Kaavia James has captivated her supporters from birth. The youngster’s facial expressions have garnered the attention of nearly two million followers on Instagram.
“Sometimes she’s a little sour and sometimes she’s so sweet,” one fan said of Kaav’s persona online. “But that real Shady Baby is never too far away, either,” the social media follower declared. “Kaav doesn’t even know the gravity of [her] humor,” another fan recently said after watching a video clip of the youngster enjoying quality time with her family at home.
In all, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade parent three kids together. Union recently shared her philosophy about parenthood, which was one that encouraged moms and dads to aggressively defend their kids against the negative vibes of society.
“Your kids are worth fighting for,” Gabrielle told the press. “Your children are not disposable and even when faced with something that you might not be as familiar with or comfortable with [it is] not an excuse to throw your kids away,” the actress shared.
“When they come for one of us, they come for all of us, and don’t ever forget that,” Union declared when speaking of her family’s values. The Wades have stood firm in their beliefs about equality despite intense scrutiny from outsiders as well as close loved ones.
In particular, Gabrielle and Dwyane Wade have been protective of their oldest daughter, Zaya Wade, who has chosen to share her transgender journey with the world. It was just a few months ago that Zaya’s birth mother, Siouvaugh Funches, attempted to stop her daughter from legally changing her name. Dwyane Wade addressed the drama while on what he described as a life-changing trip to Africa.
“It makes you want to fight,” Gabrielle said when reflecting on the opposition. “It makes you want to dig in and not only fight for your kids but everybody’s kids,” the actress shared.
