According to the North Raleigh Plastic Surgery website, a “mommy makeover” refers to a series of procedures performed in the same surgical session that aims to improve the appearance of areas most affected by childbearing.

The procedures in a mommy makeover are tailored to each patient on an individual basis according to what they want to accomplish with their new look. Makeover procedures can include:

  • Breast augmentation
  • Breast lift
  • Breast reduction
  • Liposuction
  • Tummy tuck
  • Mini tummy tuck
  • Brazilian butt lift
  • Labiaplasty
  • Non-surgical procedures

The site goes on to suggest that mothers should wait at least six-weeks after the birth of their child to have a makeover and mother’s should only do so if they are finished having children as to not undo the benefits of their procedures.

On average, a “mommy makeover” can cost anywhere from $20,000 +, depending on the chosen procedures.
