Beyoncé couldn’t contain her pride as she watched her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, mesmerize the audience with her dance moves onstage in London. Taking to Instagram on Monday, the Grammy-winning artist shared her admiration for her ‘first born’.
“My beautiful firstborn,” Bey wrote to Blue. “I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama,” the celebrity mom shared. “You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel.”
In addition to her performance in London, Blue took the stage during her mom’s Renaissance Tour in Paris last week. The youngster delivered all the right moves alongside Beyoncè’s other dancers. “Thank you so much for letting us have this moment in Paris,” one social media fan exclaimed. “Go Blue, go,” another supporter exclaimed online.
Beyoncè has taken great care to keep family matters private. The recording artist sat down with Harper’s Bazaar in 2021 to share why her philosophy on privacy is so strong.
“We live in a world with few boundaries and a lot of access,” Bey shared. “There are so many internet therapists, comment critics, and experts with no expertise. Our reality can be warped because it’s based on a personalized algorithm. It shows us whatever truths we are searching for, and that’s dangerous,” the singer said.
“We can create our own false reality when we’re not fed a balance of what’s truly going on in the world. It’s easy to forget that there’s still so much to discover outside of our phones. I’m grateful I have the ability to choose what I want to share,” Bey continued.
“One day I decided I wanted to be like Sade and Prince. I wanted the focus to be on my music, because if my art isn’t strong enough or meaningful enough to keep people interested and inspired, then I’m in the wrong business. My music, my films, my art, my message—that should be enough.”
With millions of fans and a world tour that her supporters waited with great anticipation to attend, some may deem it safe to conclude that Beyoncè is certainly in the right business.
“Beyoncè is now in her reincarnation era,” one fan said after seeing a performance from the Renaissance Tour online. “Going through the phases of her music and emotions is such a joy to watch and listen to,” the supporter added. “You can hear complete freedom.”
Beyoncè and her husband, Jay-Z, have three kids together. Blue is the couple’s oldest child.
