The latest issue of V Magazine features the dynamic trio, the Combs sisters, gracing its cover. In an exclusive interview, Chance, D’Lila, and Jessie Combs open up about their unique upbringing with their famous dad, Sean “Diddy” Combs, the unbreakable bond they share as sisters, and their aspirations for the future.
Growing up in the limelight, the sisters were exposed to a world of artistry and creativity from a young age. Chance reflects on their childhood, saying, “We’ve always been around different artists and in the studio with our dad. Even though we don’t want to pursue music right now, just seeing his work ethic and persistence has definitely been a big contributor to the drive we have to pursue our dreams.”
At just sixteen years old, the Combs sisters are already making waves in the fashion industry. They recently made their runway debut at Dolce & Gabbana’s enchanting 2021 Alta Moda show in Venice. This milestone held deep significance for the twins, as their mother, the late model Kim Porter, had a remarkable career in the fashion world.
D’Lila shares, “It was very inspiring, watching her try on the clothes and take pictures. We always would watch her and know that that’s what we wanted to do.” With their runway debut, they proved that modeling is their birthright, and they aspire to work with renowned brands, just like their mother did.
While modeling captivates Jessie and D’Lila, Chance has found her passion in acting. From a young age, she immersed herself in theater and improv classes, which allowed her to evolve as a person. “Acting has helped me evolve more as a per- son, and it’s helped me step out of my comfort zone,” she reflects.
Beyond their individual pursuits, sisterhood is a cornerstone of the Combs family. D’Lila emphasizes, “We always have a support system in each other. We are always supporting each other no matter what our goals are, what we want to do in the future.”
