Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s twins, Monroe and Moroccan, are officially 12 years old! The tweens commemorated their birthday on Sunday (Apr. 30).
Both Nick and Mariah took to Instagram in celebration of their son and daughter’s special day. “Happy birthday to my favorite people on the planet,” Carey shared. “I thank God for you every day,” the celebrity mom exclaimed. “Our love is Supernatural,” Mariah wrote. “Ooh, darlings ‘cause you’ll ALWAYS be my babies.” Carey also surprised the twins with a birthday party surrounded by their friends.
Nick Cannon also shared a social media post that highlighted his oldest kids’ birthday. The entertainer uploaded a video clip that showed Monroe and Moroccan having a great time at Six Flags Magic Mountain he shut down for a day.
Cannon captioned the post, “Happy 12th Birthday to my first borns Roc & Roe! Daddy loves y’all forever!”
Nick Cannon has received significant criticism for building a blended family that includes 12 children with multiple women. The celebrity father, however, has remained true to his conviction to be the best dad he can be to his kids. Nick recently shared how Monroe and Moroccan handle the responsibility of big brother and sister to their younger siblings.
“At this point, they enjoy it,” Cannon shared. “They have fun and they’re the oldest,” the celebrity father added. “But who knows where that will go when 16 hits,” Nick said of the possibility of Monroe and Moroccan perspectives changing as they age.
“It’s my first time having 12-year-olds, and I have a set of them,” the celebrity father exclaimed. “And we’re having real conversations,” Cannon added.
“Their lives are far from normal,” the entertainer admitted. “Their mom is one of the biggest entertainers to ever live and their dad is me.”
