Mariah Carey and her kids, Monroe and Moroccan, had a blast at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio, this past weekend. The iconic singer shared pictures of her kids enjoying the attraction.
“Had the best time at @cedarpoint,” Mariah told her social media fans. The celebrity mom shared a candid that featured her and the kids smiling while standing in front of a rollercoaster. “Never again with the heels, though,” Carey told her fans.
“Come on now,” Debbie Gibson said in response to Mariah admitting that she wore the wrong shoes to the amusement park. “You know the New Yorker thing [is] throwing flats into the bag,” Gibson exclaimed. “My trick is jazz shoes. You can fold them and put ’em in your pocket,” she said. “It was a look honey,” another fan said in support of Mariah’s heels at the theme park. “An ensemble!”
Monroe and Moroccan are Mariah Carey’s kids with Nick Cannon. In fact, the twins are their father’s oldest children. Mariah recently spoke with the press about her parenting style, which includes a bit of firmness at times.
“I don’t like being the bad guy, I have to say,” the legendary recording artist admitted. “I really don’t,” she added. “I hate that more than anything. So, you know, I do want to be, like, ‘I’m not really a mom, I’m a cool mom.’ But you’re never a ‘cool mom’ — you just never are,” Carey said.
“I didn’t grow up with all the gifts in the land,” Mariah shared in reference to how she and Nick spoil their children with presents during the holiday season. “I kind of love making their holidays great,” Carey further explained. “I feel like I need them to know that that’s a big deal, that not everybody has that.”
Monroe and Moroccan understand the importance of gratitude but still enjoy having the finer things in life given to them by mom and dad. “My daughter’s Christmas list is like 66 items,” Mariah said of Monroe’s Christmas list last December.
Monroe and Moroccan celebrated their eleventh birthdays earlier this year. There are approximately 110 days left until Christmas 2022 arrives.
