Keke Palmer is settling into her life as a new mom. The actress gave an update to her Instagram fans on Monday (Mar. 20).

“Took Mookie Mook for a stroll today,” Keke told her social media followers. “Mommy’ing is coming along if you were looking for an update,” the actress told her supporters. “I have juggled quite a few careers but this is my greatest gig of all,” Palmer said.

Keke and her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, became parents for the first time last month. Palmer announced the arrival of her son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, two days after her labor and delivery experience.

“Only 48 hrs of being parents,” Keke told her social media fans. “Darius always made me playlists when we first started dating, ‘Someone’ by El Debarge was a favorite,” the actress shared. “We became each other’s someone and made a someone,” Palmer continued. “Look at God.”

Becoming a mom has caused Keke to appreciate other moms and dads who have journeyed down the path of parenthood. Her most recent update delved into her personal experience with balancing a busy career with family responsibilities.

“Learning how to balance it all and looking forward to discovering this new person I am becoming,” Keke told her social media fans on Monday. “I will never be the same again,” Palmer added. “If you thought I was a bad mama jamma before, you can’t imagine the greater purpose my son has given my life,” the actress exclaimed.

“It’s giving, SUPER SAIYAN,” Keke told her supporters. “Also, loving the new world I get to indulge in now as a mom,” Palmer revealed. “I have so many things bagged in my Amazon cart, haven’t quite pulled the place the order button, but it feels good just adding it to the cart. You know, fake shopping,” the actress mused.

“Mom ‘stuff’ is a big business. Who knew?”
