Rotimi and Vanessa Mdee have welcomed their baby girl into the world, and the couple could not be happier. The news was shared on Rotimi’s Instagram page, where he expressed his excitement and joy for the new addition to their family.
Rotimi wrote, “I Still Can’t Wrap My Mind Around To Think I’m Here To Announce The Beautiful Birth Of My Daughter Imani ! I’m Overwhelmed With Love Today 🙏🏽 @vanessamdee You Are Nothing Short Of A Superhero !
He continued, “Our Second Child Together & Seven Now Has A Little Sister To Watch Over. God You Have Poured Blessings On Me So Many Times So I Will Scream My Praises Back To You ! I’m Forever Grateful.”
Prior to welcoming their bundle of joy, Rotimi shared a photo from the hospital room, where he can be seen laughing with Vanessa. Vanessa and Rotimi are already parents to their son Seven, whom they welcomed in September 2021. Just a year later in November of 2022, the couple announced that they were expecting their second child.
“We’re excited to announce that our baby girl is on the way. What a beautiful testament to GOD’s favor. We are overjoyed,” the couple told PEOPLE in a statement.
The couple first met at an Essence Festival afterparty in New Orleans and have been “inseparable ever since,” as Rotimi put it: “Vee headed back to Africa [at the time], but we quickly realized we couldn’t and didn’t want to live without each other.”
In December 2020, the duo took their relationship to the next level when Rotimi proposed to Mdee.
