Da Brat and Jesseca Judy Dupart are expecting! Sherri Shepherd was one of the first to know about the couple’s pregnancy.
The television personality was brought to tears during a segment on her show that aired on Tuesday (Feb. 21). Judy and Da Brat revealed their expectancy in the form of a gift they presented to Sherri. The talk show host immediately solved the mystery and was forced to go to break to gather her emotions.
“We are eighteen weeks, which is five months,” Jesseca told Sherri when asked how far along they were in the pregnancy. “I passed my first semester (sic),” Da Brat shared excitedly before correcting herself. “I didn’t get nauseous or anything,” she added.
News of Da Brat and Judy’s expectancy spread on Tuesday morning. The parents-to-be shared the announcement on Instagram.
Jesseca uploaded a video that featured music in the background. The sound of children catches her attention in the video. Then, Jesseca smiles while having an ear to Da Brat’s protruding stomach.
“Blessings all 2023,” the entrepreneur told her social media fans. Da Brat also shared a candid of herself cradling her baby bump along with the same caption.
Jesseca Judy Dupart has expressed her desire to allow Da Brat to carry their child on various occasions. “I feel like her leading character trait is nurturing,” Dupart shared on Sherri. “So I felt like she needed to have the experience. I’ve birthed three children,” Judy explained.
“Which is why I felt like it would be easier for her,” Da Brat said during the interview segment. “Her body is used to it,” she added. “She’s had three [kids]. So if she had one more it would just slide on out,” Brat mused.
“I keep telling her it doesn’t work like that,” Judy said. “Having a baby inside of you, and having a human come out of you, is just an experience that’s not even explainable. I don’t want us to go through this life and her not be able to experience that.”
Da Brat received the devastating news that recommended she not attempt to carry her and Judy’s baby several months back. Help from Hope Fertility, however, made the recording artist’s dream a reality.
Judy and Da Brat are expecting their little one to arrive just in time for the holidays.
