If you remember, one year ago to the date, Jefferson had two reasons to celebrate on Super Bowl Sunday: his Super Bowl win with the Los Angeles Rams and the birth of his son, Champ.
“In honor of Super Bowl Sunday, our Super Bowl baby Champ is turning 1 (2/13),” Samaria captioned birthday celebration pictures on Instagram.
She continued, “Forever one of the best days of our lives— a Lombardi & a baby.”
Champ posed with his parents and siblings during his “Champ’s First Down” festivities. And of course, the decor had to be Los Angeles Rams blue and gold.
Champ’s older siblings have had a solid year to adjust to their new baby brother and it has been nothing but love according to what Jefferson told People Magazine in regards to six-year-old daughter Bella and five-year-old son Vanchi.
“They’re adjusting fine I think,” Jefferson told the popular entertainment news outlet of his kids. “They’re happy to be big siblings now.”
He continued, “I’m the middle child, so I love having a big sister, so I can just imagine how they are feeling and how they’re excited to have a younger sibling now. They’re taking it in … It was just a great moment overall, and I think they’re happy about it.”
Jefferson had the opportunity to celebrate both the birth of his son and his Super Bowl win last year. He told the magazine that, “Winning the Super Bowl and then being able to see your newborn was such a special moment for me. My responsibilities are at home, but Samaria did let me celebrate with the teammates. You don’t get to the Super Bowl often, so you’ve got to enjoy it.”
He added to his statement centering his comments exclusively on his wife, “I’m so proud of her. That was the ultimate best day of my life. I don’t know how I can top that.”
