Jasmine Tookes and her husband, Juan David Borrero, shared their love with the world on Valentine’s Day. The expectant couple gave Instagram fans beautiful pictures to enjoy on the holiday.
“Valentine,” Jasmine said of her husband. The model also shared candids from a recent photo session that featured Juan holding Jasmine. The father-to-be cradled his wife’s baby bump while showering her with kisses.
“Lovely couple,” one social media follower shared in response to the Instagram post. “Mom and dad,” another supporter said. “Love you so much,” Juan wrote to Jasmine in the comments section of her social media post.
It was last November that Juan and Jasmine revealed their expectancy of a child. Tookes opened up about her pregnancy during an interview with Vogue.
“I’m a firm believer that whatever I feel—and any stress that I’m carrying—can very easily transfer to the baby,” Jasmine shared with the magazine. “Every day is scary—you never know what’s going to happen,” the model continued. “So I just pray, hope for the best, and try to keep an open mind.”
Keeping an open mind has been essential these past few months as Jasmine experienced a challenging first trimester of pregnancy. “I was so tired to the point I couldn’t even read emails coming through—I’d fall asleep sitting at my computer. I almost fell asleep driving my car,” Tooked revealed to Vogue. “The tiredness was something I had never experienced,” she admitted.
Fatigue did not stop Jasmine and Juan from getting the maternal pictures they desired. The couple did, however, wait until Tookes was six months pregnant to announce their family’s expansion.
“My husband and I have only had photos taken together on our wedding day,” Jasmine said of her and Juan’s decision to go all out for their first maternity shoot. “I wanted to remember this special moment,” the model shared.
Jasmine and Juan celebrated at their baby shower a few weeks ago. The parents-to-be are expecting their first child to arrive in the coming weeks.
