Blue Ivy Carter celebrated her eleventh birthday this past weekend. The youngster received sweet birthday wishes from her grandmother, Tina Lawson.
“The day that you were born was one of the best days of my life,” Tina wrote to Blue. “I was really praying and pushing your mom to have you on January 4th, which is my birthday. I really wanted you to share my birthday but, like your auntie Solo, you decided to come when you were good and d*mn ready and that was on January 7th, [which was] three days after my birthday.”
“Knowing you and your personality now, I realize that you needed your own day because you were such a queen and you are so very special!”
Blue Ivy Carter made Jay-Z and Beyoncè parents for the first time on January 7, 2012. The recording artists shared their expectancy during the 2011 MTV Music Awards. Bey shared her and Jay’s family expansion at the end of her performance during the ceremony.
Some have charged Blue as one who will take the entertainment mantle from her parents. In many ways, the youngster is already well on her way to making her mark in Hollywood. It was in 2021 that Blue won a Grammy Award for her collaboration with her mom.
“You can sing, dance, play basketball, play volleyball, paint, draw, sculpt, sew, write poetry, write songs, create, act , play the piano,” Tina Lawson wrote to Blue Ivy this past weekend. “I could go on and on because there’s really nothing that you can’t do,” the celebrity grandmother gushed.
“You are funny and beautiful and graceful, kind, and so smart,” Lawson doted. “I could not ask for a better granddaughter, Ms. Blue Ivy Carter! I could not be more blessed, grateful , and completely in love with another human . You truly bring me joy.”
Blue Ivy Carter is one of three children Beyoncè and Jay-Z have together. Bey and Jay also have twins named Sir and Rumi who turn six years old this year.
