If you think that it is Olympia’s birthday, you’d be wrong. It’s just another day for Serena Williams and her husband to create memories with their little girl as Williams surprises Olympia with a special “party.”

The beloved tennis legend posted on Instagram explaining that, “Sometimes we surprise @olympiaohanian with parties. We don’t need a reason or a special occasion we make everyday as special and memorable as we can. Also her mama fast…. @alexisohanian @olympiaohanian.”
And of course, every special party needs a special guest, and this one was no different. Moana traveled to hang out with the adorable threesome all the way from Motunui.
After she announced that she was retiring from tennis, the athletic icon appeared on an episode of the PEOPLE Every Day podcast where she opened up about her new relaxed schedule and shared something that Olympia made crystal clear to her mother.
“She wants to make sure that I’m aware that I should have time on my hands and I need to spend more time with her,” the Grand Slam champion said of her the five-year-old, as she laughed, during the interview.
She continued, “I’m always like, ‘Olympia, I’m not working now.’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, you don’t play tennis!’ She’s like, ‘Yes!’ And I don’t really quite know how to feel about that! It’s funny … but it’s good because little kids really want to be with their parents. And I just feel fortunate that she wants to be with me. That’s kind of how I look at it, [because] she could feel a different way, and I’m glad she doesn’t.”
Since her retirement, you see Williams and her daughter having tons of fun all over social media. It seems as if they both are truly enjoying this new stage in Williams’ life. Embrace as much fun as much as you can because before you know it, in the blink of an eye, Olympia will be off to college. Yet, the memories that the Ohanian family are making will undoubtedly last a lifetime for everyone involved.
