Erica Mena and her kids, Safire Majesty and Legend Brian, would like to wish everyone a good holiday season. The Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta (LHHATL) star recently took to Instagram to share photos from her family’s recent holiday photo shoot.
“Wishing you all a Happy Holiday,” Erica wrote to her supporters. “Love The Legge Grinch and Maje Lou Who, a.k.a. The Samuels Kids 2022,” Mena shared.
This year has been quite the change for Erica Mena who finalized her divorce from her children’s father, Safaree, as the world watched in both horror and scrutiny. Erica recently discussed her divorce during an impromptu interview with TMZ.
“It’s just new beginnings. Sometimes things just have to come to an end. I know [that] I’m relieved,” Erica said in reference to the finalization of her marriage dissolution. “I’m getting a chance to indulge with myself and be with my kids, and I’m going to throw myself into my work. So I’m really happy,” the Reality TV star said.
Erica Mena filed to divorce Safaree several months ago after he was revealed as unfaithful. He allegedly partied with other women in a provocative manner while she was at home with their daughter. Erica was also pregnant when the scandal broke and gave birth to her and Safaree’s son prematurely last June. Mena revealed that she did not receive help from her then-estranged husband.
“I was in the hospital bed with this man’s son. That man didn’t care if I made it through that pregnancy,” Erica said during the LHHATL reunion episode. “That man didn’t care if I made it through that labor,” she added. “I really have fought through some dark times.”
One dark moment Erica Mena faced was caught on LHHATL. The celebrity mom briefly celebrated the finalization of her divorce before discovering that her ex would only have to give her $4,300 per month in child support. Some viewers criticized Erica for responding with frustration because, according to them, she had more than enough money to comfortably care for her children.
“I just feel like people should mind their business,” Mena told TMZ. “Kids are expensive and everyone’s lifestyle and how it’s funded is different,” she continued. “So everyone should just mind their business when it comes to what they feel is suitable for individuals to get in compensation to take care of their kids. It takes two to tango.”
