Kenya Moore gave birth to Brooklyn Daly on November 4, 2018. The RHOA star was forced to have an emergency cesarean section. “There were all these complications and they knew if they cut into a fibroid, I could potentially bleed out and die,” Moore shared with the press after giving birth in 2018. “So they ended up cutting me vertically too, to just get the baby out and make sure I survived the surgery,” she shared. “They were so scared they were going to lose me.”

Brooklyn’s father, who was Kenya’s husband at the time, was not able to be by Moore’s side because of the way things moved quickly. “I started crying because I got so scared,” Kenya told the press. “I couldn’t get a hold of Marc, I didn’t know what was going to happen,” she added. “I just remember feeling overwhelmed with emotion. It was really tough.”

Marc Daly and Kenya Moore have decided to divorce since welcoming their daughter. The road of co-parenting continues to be a challenge. “There is no co-parenting really, unfortunately,” Kenya shared during BravoCon 2022. “I’m just being positive and prayerful,” she told her fans.

Regardless of the difficulties she and Marc are enduring, Kenya remains grateful for her miracle child. “You are a special child, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece who inspires millions,” Moore wrote to her daughter on Thursday. “You have made me a better person and you challenge me every day to live my best life and to be fearless.”

You make me so proud to be your mother. I love you @thebrooklyndaly you are my whole life
