Michael Ealy’s experience at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere was significant in more ways than one. Not only did the actor have the opportunity to see the highly anticipated film alongside his friends in the entertainment industry, but Ealy also had the chance to enjoy the film and red carpet with his son, Elijah Brown.
The celebrity father took to Instagram on Friday (Oct. 28) to reflect on the eventful night. “It’s been our job as your parents to show you the world and all its possibilities,” Michael wrote to his son. “On this night, it was an honor to see you shine on your own,” the celebrity father exclaimed.
“I thought I was just bringing you to the premiere of your first and favorite superhero,” Michael told Elijah. “One that I didn’t have nor could even dream of when I was your age. I thought that would be enough. My man! To be able to hold your hand throughout this experience was an honor, son,” Ealy wrote to his little one.
Michael Ealy and his son were interviewed by Nischelle Turner of Entertainment Tonight (ET) during their red carpet appearance. Elijah stole the moment with his cuteness and praise for his father that melted Ealy’s heart.
“You never know what your kids think of you because, at your age, you’re kind of cagey about your feelings,” Michael told his social media fans. “So for you to open up the way you did meant so much to me,” Ealy told his son. “But what really affected me was the way you reached for me with so much pride. I’m so grateful that whoever took this shot caught this magical moment,” Michael wrote to the photographer. “THANK YOU,” the actor exclaimed.
“We have given you everything we have and we can’t always tell what seeps in,” Michael shared with his son. “However, on this night you revealed so much to me and mom with the most loving gesture and a few simple words that let me know where I stand with you,” the celebrity father said. “We love you. I love you. Keep shining, young King,” Ealy told his son.
Elijah is Michael Ealy’s son with his wife, Khatira Rafiqzada. The celebrity couple has two kids in all.
