Steph Curry marked another goal off his list earlier this week. The Golden State Warriors player graduated from Davidson College to the excitement of his wife, Ayesha Curry, and their kids.
“Proud is truly an understatement,” Ayesha said of her husband’s accomplishment. “The ultimate man of his word right here,” the celebrity mom doted. “I’ve never seen someone set goals and attack them head-on the way he does. He is simply unmatched because he is one of a kind,” Ayesha said of Steph. “I love you @stephencurry30,” the celebrity mom wrote to her husband. “YOU DID IT!”
In many ways, Steph and Ayesha’s oldest daughter, Riley Curry, motivated her father to complete the coursework needed to graduate from Davidson College. “My oldest daughter is getting older,” Steph said during a recent interview. “I wanted to make sure I didn’t graduate the same year she did,” the NBA star mused.
Curry’s determination to complete college was also cemented in his promise to his family. “I knew what I signed up for when I went to Davidson,” Steph told the press. “I made a promise to coach [Bob] McKillop and my family that when I left school back in ’09 that that would be accomplished,” the star athlete shared.
Steph was hopeful that he would complete all the necessary coursework to graduate several months back. His dream became a reality earlier this week.
“So inspirational in fulfilling a promise to his mom and himself,” Steph and Ayesha’s “Eat. Learn. Play’s” nonprofit organization shared in an Instagram post. “Congratulations to Stephen on his graduation from @davidsoncollege, as well as his induction into the Davidson Hall of Fame and basketball jersey retirement,” the charity wrote to its founder.
Steph and Ayesha Curry have three kids – Canon, Riley, and Ryan – together. Riley celebrated her tenth birthday a few weeks ago.
