Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger have a 1-year-old on their hands! The celebrity parents took to Instagram on Thursday (Aug. 18) to commemorate their youngest son Maverick’s first birthday.
“Happy birthday big boy,” Giannis shared on his social media page. The basketball star also uploaded a picture of his little one that featured Maverick holding a sign that read “Happy Birthday Maverick” at his birthday photoshoot. Mariah also wrote a cute message to her son on his special day.
“Happy 1st Birthday Baby Boy,” the blogger exclaimed. “Your smile is irresistible, your laugh is heartwarming, and your chunky butt is so adorable,” Mariah gushed. “I’m so blessed to be your mama.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger make it a point to keep their family life private. Fans knew the couple was expecting a child last year. The general public was not informed on the exact date Maverick arrived, though. Some thought the little one was born in September as Giannis posted the first picture of his then-infant son last September. Others did not get wind of Maverick’s birth until the star athlete shared his name with the public in November.
Both Maverick and his older brother, Liam Charles Antetokounmpo, were in attendance with their parents at the premiere of Rise a few weeks back. Mariah took to Instagram to celebrate the experience. She wrote a beautiful love note to her boyfriend that shed light on his hard work, which opened the door for the family to be invited to the event.
“Babe, thank you so much for all that you do,” Mariah wrote to Giannis. “I’m so proud of the man that you are and even more blessed to hold your hand through it all,” the blogger exclaimed. “I love you.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently a team member for the Milwaukee Bucks. There are rumors that the NBA star is considering a spot with the Chicago Bulls. Such information, however, has not been confirmed.
