Amazon Prime has a new baking show on the horizon called Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge. Tamera Mowry-Housley will serve as host of the forthcoming series.
The former co-host of The Real took to Instagram on Tuesday (Aug. 16) to celebrate her newest venture. “Couldn’t wait to share,” Tamera revealed. “Meet your host with the most,” she continued. “Excited to join judges @chefclaricelam and @joshuajohnrussell for the Dr. Suess Baking Challenge on @primevideo!”
The Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge is a platform for America’s best bakers to showcase their talent. Participants are challenged to think outside the box to produce creations fashioned after Dr. Seuss characters and stories. Every challenge has a different theme from the children’s book franchise. Bakers must show pastry chef Clarice Lam and pastry chef and cake designer Joshua John Russell their abilities to create bake with regard to taste, creativity, and storytelling.
Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge is a sort of new venture for the franchise, which typically goes the way of scripted productions. Tamera Mowry-Housley, however, is no stranger to hosting a television series. The veteran actress spent seven years as co-host of The Real, which was a talk show series that sought to present thought-provoking conversations. Tamera discussed her time on the show after departing in 2020.
“Being on a talk show and you can take it or leave it, it’s not a safe space,” Mowry-Housley revealed last year. “I wish someone would have told me that because then I would have been prepared,” she shared. “I was not,” Tamera admitted.
“At the end I was fully armed,” the actress went on to tell the press regarding her time on The Real. “I wasn’t supposed to know it wasn’t a safe place because I wouldn’t be who I am now. I’ve learned so much about myself doing that show.”
Dr. Seuss Baking Challenge comes to Amazon Prime this winter.
