“My baby @kiyananthony is growing up soooo fast,” La La told her social media fans. “He’s taller than me … faster than me … but I’ll still knock him out if I need to,” the celebrity mom mused.

Several celebrities responded to La La’s post. “Look how tall he is,” Tina Lawson shared. “Nefew (sic) getting up there with unk,” Snoop Dogg said. “Great job, Mom,” the legendary rapper wrote.

La La Anthony has endured the triumphs and challenges of life like many mothers of teenagers. One of the more recent challenges came for the television personality when her son contracted COVID-19. “When your child has it and is pretty sick, it’s scary,” La La said of the experience.

“He’s quarantining, but I’m his mom,” the celebrity continued. “I’m going in there to make sure he’s okay no matter what, but you know, the fevers, the chills, the vomiting, all that stuff—that kind of scared me and really put things in perspective about the seriousness of it.”

Perspective is turning out to be everything for La La Anthony who takes more time to spend with family and friends these days. “I’m still trying to find that balance of a mom, you know, an actor, producer, time for myself, you know, this new chapter I’m entering in my life in general,” the television personality recently told SELF. “So it’s finding that balance, but also encouraging people, especially women, to not feel guilty about it. Because at the end of the day, you just get so burnt out that you’re not good for anyone. You’re yelling at your kids, you’re arguing with your man or your woman, you’re just not good for anybody.”

Maintaining inner peace leads to harmony in co-parenting. “I would just remind people that sometimes we get caught up in emotions and feelings and make it about us,” La La recently said when giving advice about the practice. “Just always remember, it’s about your child who didn’t ask to be here, didn’t ask to be in this situation.”
