Sydel Curry-Lee is enjoying her life as a mom who breastfeeds. She recently gave her social media fans an update about her nursing experience.
“Eight months of breastfeeding my mister man,” Sydel said of her journey as a parent to date. “If you would have asked me one week into our journey if I thought I’d make it this far bf Dax, I would have cried in your face,” Sydel shared. “But here we are,” the celebrity mom exclaimed.
Sydel Curry and her husband, Damion Lee, welcomed their son, Daxon Wardell-Xavier Lee, last November. Daxon arrived months after his parents struggled with infertility. “No words are enough to describe the bliss of having my sweet son here,” Curry shared with her social media fans. “We are in newborn bliss and soaking in every single moment,” the new mom said.
Sydel has taken to Instagram with words of encouragement for moms such as herself since welcoming her son. She has also been transparent about her battle with mental illness.
“My family is a big part of my joy — my mom, my dad, my brothers,” Curry recently said of the elements of life that bring her joy. “My husband and my dogs, it’s basically the four of us most of the time,” Sydel continued. “Especially the past year, really being able to spend quality time at home with them, I noticed how just the simple aspect of their presence is just joy. I’m very lucky to be able to have that in my own home.”
Sydel is grateful for many aspects of her life, which include the support she has needed to breastfeed her son. “With the help of every single resource at my disposal, we are still milking along,” the celebrity mom told her Instagram fans on Tuesday (Jul. 26). “It has been one of the, mentally and physically, hardest things I’ve ever had the PRIVILEGE to do,” Sydel continued.
“Breastfeeding is a privilege and requires so much more than one could ever think and I’m so grateful to have the support of @dami0nlee and my wonderful family along the way!”
