Pastor John Gray is looking forward to being reunited with his wife, Aventer Gray, and their kids at home. Aventer took the stage at Relentless Church during Sunday’s service to give an update on her husband’s condition.
“We can’t explain it, but we know that it’s God,” Aventer told the crowd. “And that it’s only God that has kept him and that is keeping him even now,” the pastor’s wife said. “He’s in amazing spirits and he can’t wait to see you all again,” Aventer said of her husband’s feelings.
It has been more than a week since Pastor John Gray went to the emergency room of a local hospital in Alabama. The clergyman sought medical services because he was not feeling well. John ultimately learned he suffered from a saddle pulmonary embolism (SPE), which is a rare type of acute pulmonary embolism (PE) that could lead to sudden death.
Aventer Gray took to Instagram last Thursday (Jul. 14) to give her supporters an update on John Gray’s condition post-surgery. “We are stable today moving in the right direction,” Mrs. Gray shared. “He is being unhooked from supplemental everything because the timeline of how soon it would take to see these clots dissipate was accelerated by months and the only thing they could attribute this to was prayer,” the pastor’s wife said.
“Nothing they did do, was able to do what we now see based on most recent imaging. It was the prayers of the righteous that availed,” Aventer told her supporters. “I’ll never be the same,” Gray declared. “We will never be the same,” she continued.
“Thank you all. Everyone across the globe. Let’s finish the miracle and get him back to where he needs to be,” Aventer petitioned. “Yes, we have milestones, benchmarks, and major shifts of lifestyle, but most of all, HE HAS LIFE and God’s breath in his soon-to-be uninjured lungs!”
John and Aventer Gray have two kids, Theory and John IV, together.
