Disney’s upcoming movie, Strange World, is vastly becoming the anticipated movie of the fall. And the media giant is happy to keep fans wanting more. Recently, Disney debuted a new Strange World teaser trailer and stills. Check them all out below and find out just what to expect from this new animated adventure.

Strange World journeys deep into an uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest—and by far— most crucial mission.
Don Hall, is directing Strange World. His credits include: Big Hero 6 and Raya and the Last Dragon. Hall said in an interview with Variety that the upcoming movie is his nod to popular fiction magazines from the first half of the 20th century. Fun fact: these magazines were printed on inexpensive wood pulp paper.
“I loved reading the old issues of pulps growing up,” Hall told Variety in his interview. “They were big adventures in which a group of explorers might discover a hidden world or ancient creatures. They’ve been a huge inspiration for Strange World.’”
Strange World has an A-list of voices behind the film. Jake Gyllenhaal will debut in the lead role as Searcher Clade.
Joining Gyllenhaal is Dennis Quaid, who will portray Jaeger Clade, Searcher’s explorer father. Jaboukie Young-White will voice the role of 16-year-old Ethan Clade, Searcher’s son. Gabrielle Union will star as Meridian Clade, a pilot and natural leader, mom to Ethan, and Searcher’s wife. And finally, Lucy Liu rounds out the cast as Callisto Mal, the head of the land of Avalonia and the leader of the exploration into Strange World.
Mark you calendars because a new Strange World will arrive right in time for the holidays, November 23rd!
