Brandy gave her daughter, Sy’Rai Smith, quite the birthday celebration this past weekend. The ‘Almost Doesn’t Count’ singer threw a skating party filled with magic to celebrate her daughter’s twentieth birthday.
“Best Birthday Ever,” Sy’Rai said after her birthday party. “Thank you everyone for making my birthday so magical,” the young adult added. “To my mommy @brandy for always making me feel like a princess and to @msshanellsmith for making my dreams come true. I love you,” Smith added. “Thank you!”
Sy’Rai Smith turned 20-years-old last Thursday (Jun. 16). The young adult received love from her mom who shared a beautiful message on Instagram to commemorate her daughter’s special day.
“Solid as a Rock,” Brandy said of Sy’Rai. “You make everyone around you better,” the celebrity mom wrote to her daughter. “The best shoulders to cry on- my best friend and the greatest friend to all your friends. Smart- Wise beyond your years- naturally curious-know what you want even if I know better (smile) authentic, pure, and extremely grounded—you are an angel sent from the Highest (I can tell because of your heart and the tone of your angelic vocals).”
Ray J, Sy’Rai’s uncle, also sent a loving message her way on her birthday. “It’s my niece’s birthday today,” Ray told his social media fans last Thursday. “The BIG 20,” the businessman exclaimed. “I’m so proud of you Rara,” Ray J told his niece. “You are so special, talented, and beautiful! Stay focused and have alotta (sic) fun today!”
Sy’Rai Smith is Brandy’s daughter with Robert Anthony Smith, a.k.a. Big Bert. She presently has several ventures working in her favor, which include a partnership with Cozi by Foot Locker as well as a budding music career. Many believe Sy’Rai wll bring back the R&B vibe that dominated the ’90s thanks to her mom. The young adult, however, is determined to chart a path that is completely her own.
