Brandy’s daughter, Sy’Rai Smith, is 20-years-old! The young adult received birthday love from her mother on Thursday (Jun. 16).

“Solid as a Rock,” Brandy said of Sy’Rai. “You make everyone around you better,” the celebrity mom wrote to her daughter. “You are an angel sent from the Most High (I can tell because of your heart and the tone of your angelic vocals),” Brandy doted on her daughter. “In the secret place of the Divine we dwell forever,” the recording artist declared.
“Know and believe only the truth, and use thought only to be creative,” Brandy advised Sy’Rai on her birthday. “Write in your journal. Welcome to the 20s! You got this! You were born a vessel and a light to everyone that you encounter.”
Sy’Rai Smith has certainly been a beacon of light to those desiring to live a more healthy lifestyle. The young adult committed to wellness a few years back when she realized her habits would lead to a shorter life.
“I had a lot of health issues when I was at the size that I was,” Sy’Rai shared during an interview on The Real last year. “My mom was with me through everything,” Smith shared. “She saw me go through a lot. And I just decided to really take my health seriously. So I changed my mindset, [and] changed my mentality.”
Changing her mentality led Sy’Rai to lose more than 100 pounds. She has scored several sponsorships, including an ambassadorship with Cozi, because of her incredible story.
“I know my body has been through a lot,” Sy’Rai told the co-hosts of The Real. “I always have to remind myself of that,” she added. “The scars that I have, the stretch marks that I have, everything that my body has been through is for a purpose [and] it’s for a reason.”
