DaBaby had a rocking good time with his daughter, Velour, this past weekend. The rapper’s little one, who he parents with recording artist DaniLeigh, was all smiles while hanging with her dad and her big sister.
“Beautiful family pictures,” one social media follower said in response to the candids. “DaBaby with da baby,” another supporter shared.
DaBaby and DaniLeigh welcomed their daughter last year. The artists ended their romantic relationship three months after their little one was born in a very public manner. DaBaby called the police on his daughter’s mother after asking her to move out of his condo with their daughter. DaniLeigh thanked her supporters who scrutinized DaBaby for reportedly forcing Velour and DaniLeigh to leave.
“Based on my reputation, with multiple threats of setting up an internet scheme and a person refusing to not let me go, me and somebody else here knew to record her,” DaBaby said in defense of his decision to record DaniLeigh and also bring local law enforcement into the situation. “I [have been beaten] on and yelled at and chased around like one of them fatal love attraction type girls,” the celebrity father shared.
DaniLeigh recently released a song that spoke of what she saw as a toxic relationship with DaBaby. The recording artist also told the press that she regretted the situation unfolding in front of the world.
“I wish it didn’t happen because I don’t want my baby to see that later on in life,” Dani shared during a recent interview with Angie Martinez. “But she’ll grow to be her own person and to be able to take things in,” the recording artist added.
“The only responsibility I have is to raise her to be a strong woman,” DaniLeigh went on to tell the press. “She’ll feel how she feels. She’s her own person,” the recording artist continued. “I feel like the [new] project is closure for me to just move on for my next chapter in life and just focus on having fun and being a mom and living life in a positive light,” Dani concluded.
Velour celebrates her first birthday this summer.
