Bobby Brown has a new Reality TV series that stars his wife, Alicia, and all of his kids. The A&E series, called Bobby Brown: Every Little Step, gives fans 12 episodes to get to know the Browns.
Many know Bobby from his early success with New Edition. The singer also has popularity from his relationship with the late Whitney Houston, which included chart-topping songs and a daughter named Bobbi Kristina who was the apple of her parents’ eye.
Whitney Houston passed away in 2012 after battling with a heart condition. Bobbi Kristina died on January 31, 2015, due to the effects of domestic violence. Bobby’s oldest son, Bobby Brown Jr., passed away last year due to a drug overdose.
“I’ve had so many losses in my life, but I try to remember all the good parts,” Bobby Brown said of the deaths in his family in a promotional clip for his reality series. “Through a lot of prayer, meditation, and therapy I push on from the past,” the recording artist added.
“My intentions are to be better in life, and everything I do now is for the future of my family,” Bobby Brown shared. “So I need to conquer my demons and overcome all of the grief and stay healthy and get back to work so I can show my kids an iconic performer. I’m looking forward to dropping another album solo and with New Edition.”
Making new music and touring does not come without sacrifices and facing demons. For Bobby, staying on the straight and narrow path is largely a matter of remaining sober.
“Being supportive [and] listening is very important,” Alicia recently said when asked about the foundation of her successful marriage to Bobby Brown. “Supporting each other has been a natural evolution for Bobby and I since we started off as friends and being there for one another through tough times,” Mrs. Brown continued.
“Also respecting personal space when it comes to being your individual self is really important cause you don’t want to feel lost in so many relationships you have to balance.”
Fans can see the balance that Alicia and Bobby Brown cultivate as Bobby Brown: Every Little Step airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on A&E.
