The Golden State Warriors are well on their way to facing the Boston Celtics for an NBA championship. The California team won their match with the Dallas Mavericks last week. Steph Curry received the NBA’s Inaugural Magic Johnson MVP Award. The Warriors’ wife, Ayesha Curry, took to Instagram to celebrate her husband’s accomplishment.
“So beyond proud of @stephencurry30 and the @warriors,” Ayesha wrote online last Friday (May 27). “#wcfchamps #wcfmvp,” the celebrity mom added. “God is great!”
The Golden State Warriors came to defeat the Dallas Mavericks last Thursday (May 26). The team was successful with the final score being 120-110. Ayesha Curry went wild in the stands along with her and Steph Curry’s kids. “So happy for all of you,” Amanda Haas said in response to Ayesha’s post after Thursday’s big game. “Congratulations,” Suzanne McFayden said.
Steph Curry was given the Inaugural Magic Johnson MVP Award after last week’s game. “The new trophy is pretty cool,” Steph said. “Especially with who it’s named after,” the NBA star continued. “The standard that Magic set in terms of being a champion and playing the point guard position, whatever other position he played. Just the excellence that he demonstrated throughout his entire career.”
Steph Curry has also demonstrated excellence both on and off the field. It has been three years since he and his wife launched their non-profit, Eat. Learn. Play, which bolsters education, nutrition, and the benefits of physical activity throughout the Bay area.
“We launched Eat. Learn. Play. in 2019 because we see the tremendous need that exists all around us and want to do what we can to help improve the lives of kids and families in Oakland, the Bay Area, and across the country,” Steph and Ayesha Curry said in a statement shared on their website. “Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation is committed to unlocking the amazing potential of every child by fighting to end childhood hunger, ensuring students have access to a quality education, and providing safe places for all children to play and be active.”
The Golden State Warriors will compete in Game 1 against the Boston Celtics for the 2022 NBA championship on Thursday, June 2, 2022.
