Gabrielle Union and her daughter, Kaavia James, were in celebration mode this past weekend. The celebrity mom and her little one came out to support Angel City FC who won their game against Kansas City on Saturday (May 21).
Kaavia was up for a bit of fun in the stands. The youngster did a bit of impersonation while taking pictures and then cheered her team of choice to victory. “To all the owners hootin’ and hollering on the sidelines and acting a fool, yeahhhhhhh y’all taught us well,” Gabrielle Union said after the game. “Best time last night watching @weareangelcity get another win,” the actress exclaimed. “Proud to be a part of this amazing group!”
Gabrielle Union and Kaavia James are part owners of Angel City FC. The two join the ranks of Christina Aguilera, Jay Shetty, and Shawn Johnson East who also have stakes in the national women’s soccer team.
“Each of our new investors are (sic) committed to supporting our purpose to set higher expectations on and off the pitch through the impact we are making in the community and on the women’s game,” Angel City founder and president Julie Uhrman recently said in a statement. “This group joins our incredibly active and passionate roster of founding investors, and we couldn’t be more excited that they are part of the Angel City family.”
It was evident that Kaavia James was certainly excited to be a part of Saturday’s game. The youngster got a behind-the-scenes tour as well as incredible merchandise to take home.
“Congratulations baby girl,” one social media follower said in reference to Kaav’s team winning their latest competition. “Start them young to claim their own,” the Instagram fan added. Another of Kaavia’s supporters told Gabrielle, “I love the way y’all let her be herself.”
Kaavia James is the youngest of four children Gabrielle Union parents with her husband, Dwyane Wade. The little one celebrates her fourth birthday this year.
