Dancehall star Shenseea was joined by son Rajeiro Lee at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday. Shenseea, whose real name is Chinsea Linda Lee, was one of the presenters at this year’s event.
“Watchya nuh! I will be presenting on this year’s @BBMAs LIVE from Las Vegas THIS SUNDAY at 8pm ET / 5pm PT on @NBC and @peacockTV!” Lee shared prior to the show.
Shenseea gave birth to her son in 2015. In 2020, the Jamaican singer shared a touching post on her son’s 5th birthday.
“Happiest of birthdays to my biggest and best blessing of all time! My son I love you more than anything and anyone else in this world ,” said Lee.
She continued, “My #SCORPIOn King. I will forever be here for you! You’ve changed me for the better, pushed me past my limit, gave me strength, patience, confidence, motivation and taught me how to really love…I remember when I gave birth I couldn’t sleep for the whole night because I was just up staring in AWE. love u papa. growing up so fast #5 @rajeiro__lee ,” she added.
Shenseea made her musical debut to the world in 2016 with the release of her debut single, Jiggle Jiggle. Her biggest hit, Blessed with rapper Tyga, has amassed over 59 million views on YouTube since its release in 2019.
In 2021, she landed two collaborations with rapper Kanye West on his Donda album. The songs earned her one Grammy nomination and her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The sought-after singer recently shared how she balances her burgeoning career with motherhood.
She said, “Journalists always ask me “How do you balance your career and being a mom” this is how my kid supports me which makes my job easier, I don’t have to worry, I am able to chase my dreams and be happy because my boy is comfortable with what I do and loves my music. He makes me feel special. Blessed to have him in my corner.”
