Chanel Iman and her daughters are in not one but two campaigns for Mother’s Day! The model and her little ones, Cali Clay and Cassie Snow, did a campaign for Victoria’s Secret weeks before their latest campaign with Alice and Olivia.
“I think it is so important to celebrate the beauty of love that surrounds motherhood amongst so many different journeys,” Chanel told PEOPLE exclusively when sharing why she was excited to do the Victoria’s Secret shoot with her daughters.
“I am so proud to have been a part of this Victoria’s Secret Mother’s Day campaign because it truly captured this message,” Iman shared.
“It speaks to the inspiring and diverse relationships that all mothers have and the love that encompasses them. To be surrounded by such dynamic women and their families in representing the brand’s commitment to recognize all women is an honor.”
Chanel Iman welcomed her youngest daughter, Cassie Snow, with Sterling Shepard in 2019. The NFL player filed for divorce last year and requested to share custody with his wife. Chanel has since learned to navigate life as a single parent by relying on the lessons taught by her mom.
“I’m so fortunate to have had a mother that was always there for me throughout my life,” Chanel told PEOPLE. “She made sure I felt unconditionally loved and protected,” Iman said. “I want my daughters to feel this same love, so I make sure to be there for them in every way, just as my mother did for me.”
The celebrity mom went on to tell ESSENCE, “I think motherhood is one of the most fulfilling gifts because it is based on real love. On that note, I would advise new moms to lead with love and do the best they can – no one is perfect. Giving yourself a little grace goes a long way.”
