American Girl’s latest collection is meant to encourage equality. World By Us features a host of dolls created by HFR designers. Of course, every American Doll has an accompanying book that tells a unique story.

Victor Cruz was overjoyed to watch as his daughter walked the runway during the brand’s fashion show last week. “Kennedy’s first American Girl show,” the proud father said in reference to his daughter’s modeling gig. “Such a proud dad moment for me,” Victor told his social media fans. “My baby is blossoming into a star! Thank you @americangirlbrand and @harlemsfashionrow for this awesome experience, and we are pumped for the #WorldByUs collection.”

Victor Cruz specifically addressed the new World By Us collection during a conversation with the press. “This is something that involves inclusion that brings little girls together, that lets them see themselves in the dolls, that’s the best part,” the celebrity father said. “That’s the unique part,” Cruz continued. “It’s them seeing themselves in the dolls and living through everyday life seeing that truth.”

Kennedy has certainly taken life by the horns and begun to hone in on her fashion sense. “It’s been quite a few years since she’s taken any fashion advice from me because she likes to get dressed herself and do things herself and go in her own closet and she does a really good job,” Victor told media in reference to his daughter taking advice about style and fashion from dad. “I just teach her to express herself,” Cruz shared.

Chanel Iman was also in attendace at American Girl’s fashion show last week with her daughters, Cassie Snow and Cali Clay. “It’s important for my girls to live in an all-inclusive world,” Chanel said concerning her decision to support American Girl and the brand’s World By Us collection.
