One throwback Instagram post featured Adeya when she was only a few days old. The little one appeared to either yawn or cry in one picture while her mom held her close. Another snapshot of Adeya during her infant months showed her resting on her mom’s chest. “I can’t believe you are mine,” Kehlani wrote to her daughter. “Happy Anniversary,” the celebrity mom said.
Adeya Nomi Parrish Young-White was born on March 23, 2019. Kehlani gave birth at home with her daughter’s father, Javaughn Young-White, by her side. Kelhlani and Javaugn ended romantic relations months after Adeya’s birth. Still, the celebrity parents’ love for their daughter continues to grow.
“Being a mom is the sexiest thing ever,” Kehlani said during a recent interview. “I think something happened to me when I became a mom; I just became sexier,” the recording artist further explained.

“I was this quirky little person before — not super in touch with myself, a super tomboy,” Kehlani continued. “Then I became a mom, and all of a sudden I got these mom hips. I got this mom sensuality and grown-woman attitude and in-touch-ness with my body that I never had before. You really f*cking get to know your body when you birth. When you get pregnant, you become a f*cking universe and a portal. So I think motherhood has made me this insane sex symbol even to myself.”
Adeya has also made Kehlani more aware and grateful for life. “How lucky is everyone around you to experience the wonder that you are,” Kehlani wrote to her daughter on her third birthday. “The most kind-hearted, compassionate, silly little person,” the celebrity mom added. “Most days I am just your student watching in awe as you adventure into the big ole strange world.”

“You are the best dancer, singer, scientist, inventor I know. [You are] the best author, photographer, painter. You can do anything you want, be whoever you feel, as long as you love it. Love is what you do best. Thank you for being my very best friend. There isn’t anyone or anything I love more.”
