Congratulations to General Hospital (GH) alum Briana Nicole Henry, who welcomed a baby girl last month. The actress took to Instagram on Tuesday (Mar. 8) to celebrate the arrival of her daughter Coda.
“You have introduced me to my favorite version of myself,” Briana wrote to her newborn daughter. “Thanks for making the journey here with me little one,” Henry said. “Welcome my Coda, I love you endlessly.”
Coda was born on February 28, 2022. The little one arrived months after her mom announced her expectancy online. “I have been so hesitant about sharing this for a myriad of reasons,” Briana Nicole Henry told her Instagram supporters. “I think mostly because I’m still processing all this change, this new evolution of myself,” the actress shared.
“Pregnancy is different for everyone,” Briana told her social media supporters. “But for myself, it’s revealed a level of vulnerability that has brought me to my knees most days,” the actress admitted. “It has illuminated what magic it is that any of us have gotten her in the first place, and that that arrival was due to sacrifice and a deep love.”
Many know Briana Nicole Henry from her time on General Hospital. The actress delved into her motivation to exit the show in an Instagram post last year.
“When I started GH it was my first opportunity as a series regular, and to get the opportunity to throw myself into Jordan for the last three years and work with some truly incredible actors has been an honor,” Henry shared with her fans. ”
“Thanks for holding space for me to grow,” Briana told er supporters. “I am a better actor because of the time I spent within those walls and will forever be grateful for the way the show nurtured and challenged my ability.”
“To the fans, it took me a while to win you over, but once you saw my heart you made me feel so much love. I hope I brought something unique and honest to your beloved character of Jordan Ashford, she’s one helluva woman.”
