Saniyya Sidney was a vision of beauty at this year’s SAG Awards. The 15-year-old brought her A-game to the star-studded event that was held on Sunday at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
To commemorate her special moment, Sidney, through a photo diary, allowed Teen Vogue to go behind the scenes with her on her journey to look like a true princess in her blue gown from Zuhair Murad’s Spring 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection.
“This is the first time I am presenting at the SAG awards as well as [being] nominated for Best Ensemble,” Saniyya Sidney wrote to Teen Vogue. “It is such an honor to be recognized by your peers. I wanted to represent the elegance of old Hollywood and all the great actors who came before me.”
When asked about how she knew the Zuhair Murad pick was the one, Sidney told the magazine that, “The second I put it on I knew. Zuhair Murad makes gowns that are fit for royalty! Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of walking across that stage. The cut of this dress and its delicate train feels like my dream come true.”
It is all about the dress; however, the right accessories are a must too! The teen accessorized with a Jimmy Choo clutch and heels in addition to Yeprem jewels.
“Found the perfect sapphire jewels from Yeprem to go with my blue gown. I’m obsessed with the ear climbers!” Sidney said of her beautiful sapphire jewels. Adding, “Every dress needs some sparkly accessories from Jimmy Choo!”
And of course, we couldn’t agree with her more! Every girl needs sparkles for their special night.
In addition to sharing her fashion moment with the popular news outlet, Sidney also shared her beauty regimen with them as well.
“I always begin with a clean, fresh face. I like to make sure my face is moisturized. I use a great moisturizer and an SPF to protect my skin, then I use vitamin C under-eye patches. Depending on the style, I usually begin with hair then makeup.”

In the midst of getting all glammed up for her big night, Saniyya Sidney did take a moment to take it all in and share a moment of gratitude.
“For me, success becomes so when it’s shared. This day is a reflection of the heart and soul and dedication of so many to make this film, starting with the Willams family. I am so happy to share this forever memory with my entire team, my wonderful family, and my beloved King Richard cast who have also become my family. And I hope our film inspires all who watch it that they also have the power to make their dreams come true.”
Saniyya was a key player at this year’s awards as she was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in King Richard. If by some chance, you aren’t familiar with Sidney’s latest film, King Richard, the new movie follows the story of Serena and Venus’ start in tennis and their rise to becoming champions in the sport. The film comes from director Reinaldo Marcus Green (Joe Bell) and alongside Sidney stars, Will Smith, Demi Singleton, Aunjanue Ellis, Jon Bernthal, Dylan McDermott, and Tony Goldwyn.
