“Happy Holidays,” Laiyah shared along with a picture of herself with her mom. “We’ve been enjoying our stay @fshotelneworleans,” Monica’s daughter told her social media followers. “The food is amazing,” the youngster added. “My favorite is their gumbo and their Christmas lights!”

Monica and Laiyah Brown have been enjoying significant time with C-Murder’s daughters. It was just a few days ago that the ‘Angel of Mine’ singer was photographed backstage at the Raising Cane’s River Center Arena while with Coco, Alexis, and Chanelle. Monica brought high energy to the stage during her segment while the crowd chanted “Free C-Murder.” Monica acknowledged the crowd’s passion by inserting the rapper’s name into one of her songs.

C-Murder is serving time in prison for the murder of 16-year-old Steven Thomas. The teen was killed outside of a nightclub and witnesses identified C-Murder as the guilty party. Such alleged witnesses have since recanted their account and revealed undue pressure from the police and prosecution to indicate C-Murder as the killer. Still, there has been little talk of reviewing the rapper’s case.

C-Murder has remained vocal despite incarceration. The recording artist recently gave insight into how the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center has treated the inmates during the COVID-19 world health crisis.

“Since the onset of COVID-19, they have continued placing the inmates that have tested positive for the virus in the dorms with inmates that were COVID-19 negative,” C-Murder recently shared. “This has not only spread the virus but has caused abnormally long quarantine times,” the rapper revealed.

“The COVID-19 positive inmates are put on a two week quarantine time initially but the prison adds new positive inmates to the dorm daily, which then extends the quarantine time two weeks each day that they add a new case.”

C-Murder told his supporters that he planned to go on a hunger strike to protest the living conditions. A petition to have his case reviewed is ongoing.
