Matt Barnes and Anansa Sims celebrated their son’s birthday earlier this week with food and festivities for the whole family. Anansa shared pictures from the get-together with her social media fans.
“Ashton’s village,” the celebrity mom captioned underneath a series of candids that featured her and Matt’s son, Ashton Barnes, with his parents and siblings. Another social media post showed the family singing The Birthday Song to Ashton. “Happy 3rd Birthday Ashton,” Anansa exclaimed in the caption section of the Instagram post. “We love you so much, sweet baby boy!”
Anansa Sims’ decision to share pictures from her son’s third birthday party celebration with the family comes after Matt Barnes’ ex-wife, Gloria Govan, gave public notice to Anansa to refrain from posting photos of her sons, Carter and Isaiah, with Matt Barnes. Gloria took to Instagram to blast Anansa for attempting to paint a picture of a happy blended family when such was not the case.
“This is just becoming too much,” Gloria wrote online. “I’ve asked before to leave MY kids out of your FALSE narrative,” Govan told Sims. “You know fully well MY kid’s birthday celebration had absolutely nothing to do with you or your son,” the celebrity mom continued.
Anansa shared an Instagram post that acknowledged Carter and Isaiah’s birthday along with her oldest son, David Patterson. Gloria took issue with the post because it created the perception of everyone coming together to commemorate David, Carter, and Isaiah’s birthday in a blended family celebration.
“Your obsession with MY kids is awkward and crazy,” Gloria told Anansa. “I’ve tolerated it long enough,” the celebrity mom added. “Your whole super mommy, stepmom, blended family bullsh*t is hilarious,” Govan further explained.
“My kids tolerate you because I raised them well. But don’t get things twisted; they don’t f*ck with you or your kids! They get irritated that [you] always try to force pictures and videos of them.”
Gloria Govan ended her message to Anansa Sims with a firm warning. “I’ve asked you before not to post them. You obviously don’t listen. Now I’m telling you! Cut the sh*t,” Gloria told Anansa. “Leave MY kids off your social media. Stop lying. Or it’s going to become a problem.”
Ashton is Anansa Sims and Matt Barnes’ only child together. Anansa has four kids in all, and Matt fathers three children.
