Madonna celebrated Thanksgiving with five of her kids. The legendary Pop singer took to Instagram over the holiday weekend to share photos from the special day.
“It’s a family affair,” Madonna shared along with a video clip that gave a behind-the-scenes look at how she and her kids commemorated the holiday. Some noticed Madonna’s son, Rocco, was not present for Thanksgiving dinner. Still, the love the celebrity mom and her kids shared was evident.
“Endless love for all of you,” one fan wrote in response to Madonna’s Instagram post. “Absolutely gorgeous,” another social media follower shared.
Some have criticized Madonna for not fully embracing the domestic life. The celebrity mom, however, told the press in 2019 that her kids love seeing her exercise her creative skills.
“If somebody said, ‘O.K., you’ve got to give one thing up,’ I would say, ‘O.K., I’ll stop working,'” Madonna revealed in an interview given to the New York Times. “But they like that I work,” the celebrity mom said of her kids. “They love to come visit me and watch me work,” Madonna added.
“My older children, my son, he’s a painter, and my daughter’s a dancer and choreographer,” the celebrity shared. “I can see how my work has influenced them, though they probably wouldn’t like to say so. I like it. It makes me proud.'”
Madonna’s older son, David Banda, has expressed himself in ways that have brought both praise and criticism online. It was just last year that David’s dance routine dedicated to the memory of George Floyd caused some to scrutinize Madonna for being insensitive given the situation. Madonna, however, stood by her son’s decision to share his gift during such a tumultuous time. She also affirmed her support for justice in the matter.
Madonna has two biological children, Lourdes and Rocco, and four children – David, Mercy, Estere, and Stelle – whom she adopted from Africa.
