Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada is a doting mom. The Reality TV star recently shared pictures of her son, Carl Leo Crawford, and daughter, Shaniece Hairston, with social media fans.
“My greatest blessings,” Evelyn captioned underneath a candid of her son and daughter. “Love this,” one fan said. “You’re an inspiration,” the social media follower told Evelyn. “Your babies are absolutely gorgeous,” another Instagram fan said. “God bless them.”
Evelyn Lozada is discovering new ventures after leaving the Basketball Wives franchise. The celebrity mom spent nine seasons on the show before deciding to exit in June.
“I think that it’s time for me to open up the universe to other things,” Evelyn shared during an interview with E!’s podcast Just The Sip. “It’s been a hard decision because I could [continue to appear on the show] with my eyes closed,” Lozada shared.
“But at the same time I think it’s so difficult and it takes so much energy and it’s not the most positive energy and I just open up to the universe to allow other things to flow in,” Evelyn further explained.
Some may remember Evelyn’s docuseries called Livin’ Lozada, which aired on OWN’s network in 2015. “Going from OWN and going back to Basketball Wives, I was so far removed from this type of dynamic with the cast,” Lozada said of her return to the Basketball Wives after doing her docuseries with OWN. “I did feel like I took a few steps backwards,” Evelyn admitted.
Evelyn Lozada joined the Basketball Wives franchise in 2010. She left the show at one point during her nine-season run because of the drama with cast members she endured. Tami Roman, in particular, was an enemy of Evelyn Lozada for years. Roman shared her and Lozada’s journey beyond the drama during a 2019 interview.
“We didn’t speak before [the reunion] taping. We typically don’t speak after,” Tami shared during an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight (ET). “I think both of us owe ourselves a greater service — not allowing me to come into her space, and her not coming into mine. Just respecting boundaries,” Roman shared. “I just feel like we know what it is, and we both can move on accordingly.”
Carl Leo is Evelyn Lozada’s son with retired baseball player Carl Crawford. Shaniece is the celebrity mom’s adult daughter from a previous relationship.
