Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada and her son, Carl Leo Crawford, were two of many in attendance at the Green Eggs and Ham Netflix premiere on Sunday (November 3). The screening was held in Los Angeles, California, and was filled with lots of positive energy.
Carl Leo was all smiles while taking pictures with his mom. The little one appeared excited to get a first look at the series that the public has been waiting to see for weeks.
Many were pleasantly thrilled to learn of the beloved tale of Dr. Seuss getting its own series on Netflix’s platform. Jared Stern, creator and executive producer of the series, explains how a children’s story transformed into a show.
“There were four years of actual production,” Stern shares. “That was intentional, and that’s about normal for the quality of animation that we were aspiring to,” he adds.
“A typical animated film can take close to three to four years for generally an hour and a half of content. We have, I believe, around five and a half hours of content that we were trying to do at the level of a hand-drawn animated feature in that same amount of time.”
The trailer for Green Eggs and Ham received a warm reception on YouTube. “I’m watching this show,” one fan wrote online. “The fact that it’s actually animated smoothly gets points awarded,” another viewer shared.
Those who love Green Eggs and Ham, the book, may find this series created for adults and kids to be a breath of fresh air. Watch all of the episodes on Friday, November 8, 2019!
