Rapper Young Dolph was killed today and leaves behind his wife and two kids.
Young Dolph was shot and killed in his hometown of Memphis, TN. FOX 13 Memphis reported that the father of two was gunned down outside a local cookie store. According to a source, the rapper went into the local business when a car pulled up outside of Makeda’s Cookies and fired through the front window, fatally killing the rapper.

The 36-year-old talent leaves behind two children, Tre Tre Thornton and Aria Ella Thornton, in addition to wife and entrepreneur, Mia Jaye.
Thornton met wife Mia Jaye while she was on her professional journey working for a boutique Commercial Real Estate firm.
Deciding to leave the firm and pursue her own passions, Mia Jaye founded Fresh Start Kidz, Inc. in 2015. She also self-published her first book, “No Way Tré You Can’t Have Your Way, Fruit Instead of Junk Food Today.” Additionally, Mia Jaye expanded her entrepreneurial spirit to focus not only on children, but on moms as well with her podcast, “Mia Jaye’s Toolbox” and her product line, Shop Momeo.

Young Dolph, born Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr., in Chicago, IL, yet moved to Memphis, TN with his family at the age of two-years-old. The rapper began shooting to super stardom in 2016 when he released his debut studio album, “King of Memphis”, which peaked at number 49 on the Billboard 200 chart. Young Dolph was featured on O.T. Genasis’ hit single “Cut It”, which peaked at number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additional hits by Young Dolph include “Major,” “On The River,” “Talking To My Scale,” “Hold Up Hold Up Hold Up,” among others.
He had been targeted in the past several times which caused him to purchase two bulletproof vehicles.
