Derrick Rose’s son, PJ Rose, is a viral sensation. The youngster was recently recorded while showing off his skills on the basketball court. Many are already comparing PJ to his father.
The 9-year-old and his team competed at the Matteson Youth Basketball League near Chicago. PJ’s team won 2-0 against other third and fourth graders who also played fiercely to win. “Look at D-Rose’s son,” one YouTube fan said. “Love how much he enjoys his teammates,” another social media follower said.
Some commented on PJ Rose’s height in comparison to other kids on the court. “He looks massive out there compared to most of them,” one YouTuber said. “That’s crazy,” mused the fan. Another social media user wrote, “He finna (sic) show us what Drose could’ve been without the injuries.”
“My son is everything to me. He’s the reason why I get up and I work out the way I work out and train the way that I train. – Derrick Rose.

Derrick Rose came on the NBA scene in 2008. The star athlete was expected to be a major force in the sport but suffered several injuries that ultimately led to setbacks.
“You have to know who you are,” Derrick said during a recent interview. “This whole time off or even getting injured, it was my way of tapping out,” the NBA player shared. “A lot of people don’t get the chance to tap out [and recover], and they get caught up into (sic) the propaganda. Winning MVP so young, doing this and doing that, I was caught in it,” Rose admitted.
“Everyone has their own troubles,” Derrick continued. “Everyone does things in their own time,” the star athlete explained. “I just had to understand who I am and what I stand for. I prioritized things.”
PJ Rose is Derrick Rose’s son with entrepreneur Mieka Reese. He celebrated his ninth birthday last month.
